Isabelle Aboulker (b. 1938), France
After studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, she began composing for the theater, film, and television. For many years she was head accompanist and vocal instructor at the conservatory. Since 1980, she has concentrated on composing opera and vocal works.
