Composer and organist. Teachers included her father Joseph Ahrens, Darius Milhaud och Olivier Messiaen. Authored a book on the organ music of Messiaen. Organist in Berlin, professor of organ at the Hochschule für Musik Ruhr. Has composed for organ, organ and voice, organ and solo instrument.
