Mansi (Clemensa) Barberis (1899–1986), Romania
Violinist, music teacher, conductor, and composer. Studied composition at the George Enescu Conservatory in Bucharest, and later in Berlin, Paris, and Vienna. Her compositional style shows clear influences from Romanian folk music; she wrote over 100 songs as well as symphonic music, four operas, and other instrumental and choral works.
