Carmen Barradas/Maria del Carmen Perez Jimenez Barradas (1888–1963), Uruguay
Pianist, composer, and choral teacher. Lived with relatives in Spain, but returned to Montevideo in 1928, where she taught at the Institutos Normales. Several of her pieces are written using non-traditional graphic notation, and she experimented with different techniques.
