Anna Bon (1739–?), Italy

Born in Russia. Composer and performer. Began her schooling in Venice at the young age of four. Lived with her parents (her father a librettist, her mother a singer) in Bayreuth in the service of Margrave Friedrich of Brandenburg Kulmbach. Thereafter the family moved to Count Esterházy in Eisenstadt. From 1767 she lived with her husband in Hildburghausen, Thuringia.

She composed flute sonatas; chamber sonatas for flute, cello, and harpsichord; sonatas for harpsichord; a divertimento for two flutes and basso continuo; and a piece for soprano, two violins, viola, and basso continuo.
