(Jeanne-)Louise Farrenc (1804–1875), France 

Born Jeanne-Louise Dumont in Paris. Received excellent training in both piano and composition. Her compositions were well known during her lifetime and she was relatively productive, with 51 opus numbers. She married the flautist and publisher Aristide Farrenc in 1821. He published the majority of her compositions; they include works for piano, three symphonies, and three overtures, but most are chamber pieces.
