Ilse Fromm-Michaels (1888–1986), Germany

Pianist and composer. Studied in Berlin, first at the Hochschule für Musik and later at the Stern Conservatory. Her first career was as a concert pianist. Later, under the Nazi regime during WWII, she was banned from publishing or performing her compositions. She wrote piano music and songs.
