Louise_Heritt-ViardoLouise Héritte-Viardot (1841–1918), France

French singer, pianist, and composer. The daughter of composer  Pauline Viardot-Garcia and Louis Viardot and the sister of composer and conductor Paul Viardot. Her singing career was ended by illness; with Clara Schumann’s help she found a post as a singing teacher at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt-am-Main. She wrote songs, chamber music, cantatas, an opera comique, and orchestral works (many of the scores have been lost).
