Liza (Elisabetha Nina Mary Frederica) Lehmann (1862–1918), England

Opera singer and composer. Raised in Germany, France, and Italy. Studied voice together with Jenny Lind. After her career as a singer ended (1894) she concentrated on composing. She wrote the song cycle Persian Garden for four voices and piano as well as several other song cyles, so-called Edwardian theater music, and an opera.
