Carin Malmlöf-Forssling (1916–2005) 

Composer and piano teacher. Has worked in Falun, Sweden, since 1952. Studied piano with Gottfrid Boon and composition with Nadia Boulanger. She was the first woman elected to the Society of Swedish Composers, in 1970. Her compositions include orchestral and chamber music, piano pieces, and many works for voice. Among the latter are Biblia Dalecarlica, for recitation, soprana, tenor, mixed choir, and clarinett (1971) and Tre latinska sentenser for soprano, flute, horn, and piano (1986). In 2002 she established a foundation in her own name for the encouragement of Swedish art music.
