Composer and pianist born in Vilna, Russia (now Vilnius, Lithuania). Began her music studies in Saint Petersburg. Left Russia for political reasons and continued composition studies at the Preußischen Akademie der Künste in Berlin. Attended masterclasses with Arnold Schönberg. Many of her works received performances during her years in Berlin. In 1931 she moved to Merano, Italy for health reasons. She composed many works for piano, for solo voice and piano, for chamber ensemble, and for orchestra, including three symphonies.
