Freda Swain (1902–1985), United Kingdom
Studied and later taught at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Received the Sullivan Prize in 1921. In 1936 she founded the British Music Movement to support young composers and performers. She composed chamber and orchestral music, songs, and choral and sacred music as well as an unfinished opera.
