Sara Wennerberg-Reuter (1875–1959)

Swedish composer and organist. A pupil of Elfrida Andrée. She also studied in Leipzig in 1896–1898 for Salomon Jadassohn and Carl Reinecke. In 1901–1902 she continued her studies in composition and counterpoint with Max Bruch at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin. From 1906–1945 she was organist at the Sofia Church in Stockholm. She composed various choral works as well as romances and piano pieces. She also wrote several noted tone poems for solo voices, choir, and orchestra. Awarded a Litt. et art in 1931.
