Peggy Glanville-Hicks (1912–1990), Australia

Studied composition in Melbourne for Fritz Hart, and piano, composition, and conducting at the Royal College of Music, London, where her teachers included Ralph Vaughan Williams and Malcolm Sargent. She also lived and worked in the United States and Greece. She composed works for orchestra and chamber orchestra; she also wrote for the ballet and television.
