Karin_LönegrenKarin Maria Lönegren (1871–1963)

Pianist, educator, and composer. Studied in Stockholm and for Franz Neruda in Copenhagen. She was a distinguished piano teacher whose pupils included the Princesses Astrid and Ingrid (who were later the Queens of Belgium and Denmark). She wrote piano music (Fyra lyriska stycken, Tre fantasistycken, and other pieces), chamber music (Berceuse for violin and piano), and songs, including children’s songs.
