Jadwiga Szajna-Lewandowska (1912–1994), Poland
Born in Brody (then under Polish rule, now in Ukraine). Studied at the Lvov Conservatory and the Academy of Music in Wroclaw. Worked as a teacher and a chamber musician in addition to composing. She wrote ballet and other stage music and many chamber, solo instrumental, choral, and orchestral works.
