Marianna Motroni Andreozzi-Bottini (1802–1858), Italy

 

Elected to the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna at age 18 for her many compositions. She was a prolific composer and has an impressive list of works. Most of her pieces were written when she was between 13 and 20 years old (at age 21 she married the Marquis Lorenzo Bettini).

She composed for voice, harp, and piano, as well as a number of piano concertos, overtures, a mass, an orchestral Magnificat, and an opera, Elena e Gerardo.
