Kristina Aspeqvist (b. 1965), Stockholm
Percussionist and composer. Has conducted a number of ensembles; currently conducts the Stockholm Vodou Orchestra, which performs her music. Has frequently collaborated on dance and theater productions. Teaches at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and the Örebro Conservatory. Lived and studied for many years in West Africa. Interested in all genres but is most at home in folk/jazz/world music. Runs a drum store and arranges travel to Ghana in her spare time.
