Marion Bauer (1882–1955), United States

Studied for Nadia Boulanger. Composer, teacher, and music writer. Like many other women composers of her generation, she began by composing pieces for voice and piano. In the 1930s and 1940s she wrote larger works for orchestra and chamber groups.
