Britta Byström (b. 1977), Stockholm 
Began composing as a teenager; she was accepted in 1995 to the program in composition at the Royal College of Music, Stockholm, where her teachers included Pär Lindgren and Bent Sorensen.
Byström has composed in most genres (chamber music, choral music, opera) but has focused on orchestral music.
