The youngest daughter of a wealthy merchant family. A Benedictine nun and abbess as well as a singer and composer, she spend her adult life in the convent of Santa Radegonda, Milan. It is possible that she conducted the convent’s two choirs. She published four books of music (motets); two survive in complete form.
