Composer and flautist. Studied at Bowling Green State University, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the University of Pennsylvania. She received the Pulitzer Prize in Music for her Violin Concerto. Her output includes works for solo instruments, chamber ensemble, orchestra, choir, solo voice, etc.
