Mary Carlisle Howe (1882–1964), United States

Pianist and composer. Studied for Richard Burmeister in Germany and at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. In 1925, with Amy Beach, she founded the Association of American Women Composers. She composed more than 20 works for orchestra and a great number of piano pieces, chamber and choral works, songs, etc.
