Marie Jaëll, née Trautman (1846–1925), France

Composer and pianist. Born and raised in Alsace, but resided for most of her life in Paris. Studied composition for Camille Saint-Saëns and César Franck and piano for Franz Lizst. Composed piano pieces, string quartets, and a number of concertos. Her organ pupils included Albert Schweitzer and Charles-Marie Widor.
