Gertrud Maria Mell (b. 1947), Ed, Dalsland, Sweden
Composer, sea captain, organist, choir director. Studied instrumentation and orchestral conducting at the Lund Conservatory; she also holds an organist and cantor’s degree and a marine master’s certificate.
She has composed four symphonies, string quartets and other chamber pieces, choral works, pieces for piano and organ, songs (including Dalslandssången) and symphonic poems.
