Mathilda Montgomery-Cederhielm (1796–1863), (Italy), Sweden

 

Composer, poet, singer, harpist. Mathilda Orozco (Mathilda Valeria Beatrix d’Orozco), born in Florence to a Spanish father and Austrian mother. Married Bartolomeo Cenami in 1813; widowed in 1815. Married Josias Montgomery-Cederhielm in 1817; resided in Sweden from 1817. Widowed again in 1825. Married Carl Alexander Fredrik Gyllenhaal in 1839.

She moved in Swedish court circles, where she performed frequently as a singer, harpist, and actress. She composed a number of songs for solo voice and instrument as well as a march, Husar-marsch
