Julia Amanda Perry, (1924–1979), United States
Studied piano, voice, and composition at Westminster Choir College. Later studied with Luigi Dallapiccola at the Berkshire Music Center, Tanglewood. She received two Guggenheim Fellowships and studied with Nadia Boulanger in the early 1950s. She won the Boulanger Grand Prix for her Violin Sonata. She composed a Stabat Mater, a Requiem for Orchestra (Homage to Vivaldi), chamber pieces, 12 symphonies, two piano concertos, etc.
