Albertina Fredrika (Ika) Peyron, (1845–1922)

Composer, pianist, and organist. Studied for Ivar Hallström in Stockholm; also studied in London for several years during the 1860s. Back in Sweden, she studied with Jan van Boom, Josef Dente and Emil Sjögren. At first she composed under the pseudonyms Ika and Ika Peyron. She wrote about 40 pieces, including songs, choral works, music for piano, and one piece for organ and piano (In der Dämmerung).
