Claire Renard’s (1944) work embodies the rigor and experimentation of her classical and electroacoustic training. Her multidisciplinary creations investigate a specific listening project using the voice, combinations of instruments and electronics, spaces, and states of perception to produce diverse forms performed in numerous countries (concerts, installations, operas, musical theater). After graduating from the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP), studying with P. Schaeffer, she received commissions from the Ministry of Culture, Radio France and various institutions. She is published in Le geste musical (research in creative pedagogy with INA/GRM, IRCAM, Centre Pompidou) and by Lisières (monography).
