Martha von Sabinin (1831–1892), Denmark/Russia

Born in Copenhagen. Pianist, piano teacher, and composer. Studied with Georg and Clara Schumann, Peter Cornelius, and Franz Liszt. Was a music teacher at the court of Czar Alexander II in Saint Petersburg. She composed a number of songs and choral works.
