Delphine von Schauroth (1814–1887), Germany

 

Pianist and composer. Began studying piano as a child; made her concert debut at age eight. She won the admiration of Robert Schumann and Felix Mendelssohn. Her works include a number of sonatas, a Lieder ohne Worte, and a Capriccio for piano.
