Mon (Marie Gustava) Schjelderup (1870–1934), Norway
Composer, pianist, and piano teacher. Studied piano for Agathe Backer Grøndahl; later studied piano and music theory at the Royal Academy of Music in Berlin and the Paris Conservatory, for Jules Massenet. By age 34 she had composed around 40 works, including songs, piano pieces, and orchestral and chamber works. She suffered from mental illness during the latter part of her life.
