Claudia Sessa (ca. 1570–ca. 1619), Italy
A nun from an aristocratic family in Milan. She entered the convent of S. Maria Annunciata and composed spiritual works, two of which have been preserved: Occhi io vissi di voi and Vatteme pur Lascivia, both in the monodic style.
