Julia Smith (1905–1989), United States
Composer, pianist, writer, and musicologist. Educated at the University of North Texas College of Music and the Juilliard School. She was pianist for the all-female Orchestrette Classique in New York. She composed operatic and orchestral works and chamber music, often with jazz or folk elements.
