Peggy Stuart-Coolidge (1913–1981), United States
Composer and conductor. Studied piano as a child and went on to the New England Conservatory. Founded an all-women’s orchestra and was assistant conductor for the Women’s Symphony of Boston. She composed orchestral music, ballet music, solo instrumental music, chamber music, and a number of songs.
