Carolina Uccelli (1810–1885), Italy
Made her composer’s debut at age 20 with the opera Saul, for which she wrote both the music and the libretto. It was performed at the Teatro della Pergola, Florence. She wrote a few other operas (Emma di Resburgo and Eufemio da Messina) and a cantata for choir and orchestra.
