Alicia Urreta (1930–1987), Mexico
Pianist, teacher, and composer. Studied at the Conservatorio National de Musica, Mexico City. In 1975 she founded a national symphony orchestra and later the ensemble Camerata of Mexico. She composed solo instrumental works, a chamber opera, and ballet music, as well as a number of works for instrument and electronics.
