Galina Ustvolskaja (1919–2006), Russia 
Studied at the Leningrad Conservatory (later the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory). Composed orchestral and chamber music in a unique, bold and dramatic style. Composed a total of 21 pieces, including five symphonies.
